We are Carleen and Jim from London, Ontario Canada. Carleen is an Art Teacher and Jim is an Electrician and Boat-builder. We sail out of Fanshawe Yacht Club (www.fyc.on.ca) on a tiny reservoir called Fanshawe Lake here in London.
Sailing: We grew up sailing and racing 18′ sailing dinghies called a Y-Flyer (Canadian Y-Flyer Association). We raced in both Canada and the United States. Jim and his Dad Doug were Canadian champs in this class many times and we were lucky enough to have won that title as a couple ourselves over several years. As Carleen likes to say “I couldn’t beat Jim so I joined him!”
We have retired from the Y-Flyer class and now cruise and race our trimarans. Two are homebuilt and one is a production model. We love to cruise in shallow draft boats and a trailerable trimaran is excellent for this kind of experience.
Other Adventures: We enjoy a variety of sports and travelling. So in this blog you will see other things we do and places we go.
Thanks for coming along on our journeys!
